Go Portugal!

The first Italian goal, at the minute 119

The unbelievable happened today. Italy, formerly a miserable, ultra-deffensive team, played such a good but goalless match (during 119 minutes) with the locals, everyone’s favourites (specially after Brazil’s defeat). At the last moment, when we all thought it was going to be another PK definition, Fabio Grosso came with that awesome shot that turned into a curve so impossible Lehmann to catch… seconds later, Del Piero buried forever the locals’ hopes…

Good for them. But we’ll never forget the gift from the Spanish referee Medina Cantalejo in the round of 16. Maybe in other times cheaters won the World Cup, but I don’t think the Goddess of Football holds anything for her. Italy, in spite of today’s "exception", still deserves to be punished and criticized (no matter if others say otherwise). Catenaccio should be dismissed or at least shown as example of not what to do in football. Too late for vindication.

Hope Portugal gets inspired tomorrow and defeats Frenchies, who are too optimistic ‘cause they (actually Zidane) defeated Brazil. Vamos Portugal! For decency in World Cup, since Germany is out, the Scolari team should be the next World Champions… although, I know, that’s quite hard…

Let’s rather cheer up with this awesome cover of Misty Oldland’s Got Me A Feeling, by Japanese singer Bonnie Pink. Enjoy!
